One.com

I found the web hosting service one.com that would be ideal for hosting my personal website

Look of site

I tried a few layout ideas I think I know dreamweaver pretty well by now... Here is a background could use to put things like 'which elephant is the odd one out?' then when the user finds the right one they can be presented with 'yes cheat at chess by using real life elephants as your pieces' etc.

On the other hand the board can easily be used to bring up a game of snakes and ladders as well as perhaps some 3d text to use the page as an introduction instead... There are many ideas including the way I have presented the text in a Rockwell condensed that on flash animated as shown using a mask so that it gradually appears.

I was thinking in terms of buttons etc. that they could be dice or even squiggly arrows... The other direction is to make them J symbols following the typography brief or plain circles when you click on them the rollover creates an earthquake effect? I am thinking big ideas but what actually works will change as I find out how much I can do on Dreamweaver, Flash and Photoshop combined

Brainstorming

Today we presented our ideas to other groups and pitched our ideas to other people in the space of 30 seconds

Slowmotion cards

I tried several ways to create a 'card explosion' this is one of the videos I took. It appears better reversed and slow motioned however as we are no longer doing anything card related it could be a good idea to do this using scrabble pieces
